5th Annual Interfaith Ramadan Potluck Dinner
With over 150 people of various faith groups in attendance, the dinner on August 19, 2011 brought the community together to share a meal in the spirit of neighborly love and fellowship. Maryam Nouh, an LCHS graduate attending UCLA in the fall, started the program with a beautiful recitation from the Quran. Naeem Khan, a recent UC Riverside graduate, shared his insightful reflections on the month of Ramadan and what it means to Muslims.  The keynote speaker was Ahmed Younis, a senior analyst at the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies, who gave an impressive presentation on the important findings of the recent Gallup study on the public opinion towards Muslim Americans.
